Westlife - Bop Bop Baby

Song Info:

The single peaked at #5 on the UK Singles Chart, the lowest top position of reached by a single by this band. The song was written by band members Shane Filan and Brian McFadden, alongside producers and writers Chris O'Brien and Graham Murphy. It sold over 120 000 on UK so far.[1]

The video was initially to be directed by Vaughn Arnell and was to feature the band in front of the Irish skyline. But instead, the video was directed by Max & Diana, and featured the band in a sour-looking castle, battling an enemy of the English Crown.

Song Info:

"Get Outta My Way" is a dance-pop song by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue from her eleventh studio album, Aphrodite. It was released as the second single internationally on 27 September 2010.[1] It peaked at number twelve on the UK Singles Chart, and charted at number sixty-nine in her native Australia, making it her least successful single on the Australian charts to date. The song hit number one on Spanish Itunes chart December 13th. The song became her fifth number-one single on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs chart in the US.[2]

Music Video Info:

The music video was filmed at Pinewood Studios in London on 18 August 2010, and directed by British directing team AlexandLiane and features live projections by Frieder Weiss. It premiered on Minogue's official YouTube channel on 3 September 2010.[9][10]

A good part of the video shows the projections of Frieder Weiss. The video begins with Minogue and her dancers moving slowly on a dynamic, fuchsia and mimetic dance floor. Each one of them is surrounded by a glow that follows their movements in real time. Minogue has sports gloves that illuminate her face and body. In the second verse of the song, she appears on stage with white chairs, wearing a gold outfit. The chairs are incorporated to the choreography. Minogue and her dancers later appear dancing in front of a wall that projects more dynamic lighting. Minogue appears on pedestal, which arises from a delicate layer of water. Following an instrumental solo, Kylie walks up a white stairway towards a simulated Sun, accompanied by dancers. The music video then shows a rapid mix of all the previous scenes in the video, returning at the end to the initial dancers on the floor with Kylie. Entertainment Weekly said that "It’s literally just a super-hot Kylie dancing and writhing around on the floor, wearing an endless array of fabulous outfits and being generally beautiful. To put it simply, it’s a video that just makes you smile."[11]

Enrique Iglesias Feat. Nicole Scherzinger - Heartbeat

Song Info:

"Heartbeat" is a song by Spanish pop singer Enrique Iglesias, taken from his ninth studio album, Euphoria. Written by Iglesias and his long-term collaborators, Jamie Scott and Mark Taylor, the mid-tempo ballad features co-vocals from American R&B/pop recording artist Nicole Scherzinger (of the Pussycat Dolls). "Heartbeat" has a melody based on futuristic piano sounds and incorporates elements of dance music.

The song was released as the album's third overall single, though it is the second English-language single, on June 8, 2010 in the United States and later in October 2010 France and the United Kingdom. Critics praised the song for the way that Iglesias and Scherzinger's voices complimented each other. An accompanying music video features the pair in emotive mood-lit scenes, where digitally produced colored heartbeats react as they interact with each other and the lyrics of the song.

Music Video Info:

The music video treatment for "Heartbeat" was directed by Hiro Murai and premiered on September 14, 2010. It features the use of a inner throbbing lights and Scherzinger wearing a lace outfit.[9] The overal concept of the video sees a "shirtless Iglesias against a dark black background, while red and orange 'heartbeats' are added in simulation with his heartbeat. Then Nicole Scherzinger, who is sitting nude, waist-up against a solid black background, but with blue and purple 'heartbeats'." The Music Video was filmed in Kentwood,Michigan.[10]

The video starts off with Enrique seen shirtless against a dark black background. As the music starts, Enrique is seen singing while digitally added red and orange "heartbeats" are added in simulation with his heartbeat. Nicole breaks into the song where she is seen sitting nude waist up against a solid black background. Similar to Enrique, digitally added blue and purple "heartbeats" are added in simulation with her heartbeat. In the following scene, Nicole and Enrique are seen together in a white, mirrored room. Enrique is wearing a red t-shirt and jeans while Nicole is wearing a red bra and underwear with a black lace dress over-top. The video cuts to a scene where the hook of the song kicks in; they're seen face to face looking like they're about to kiss while singing their parts. During the scene they're seen with a black spotlight on them while alternating blue and green background lighting is added. The video ends with Enrique's "heartbeat" darkening with each beat until it eventually fades out into a solid black screen.

Alexis Jordan - Happiness

Song Info:

"Happiness" is the debut single by American singer Alexis Jordan. It was released on September 6, 2010 in the US and November 1, 2010 in the UK. A remix EP was released on September 6, 2010 in the United States.[1] The single's official music video was released on May 19, 2010 to Jordan's official YouTube channel.[2] The song samples 'Brazil' by Deadmau5. The uptempo dance song lyrically speaks of somebody making Alexis happy, as well as romantic regret, realisation and ultimately exultation.[3][4] Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston has been listed as inspiration for the single.

The song has become a critical and commercial hit in the US as well as on international markets. Despite failing to chart on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart in the US, it did manage to peak at the top of their Hot Dance Club Songs chart, with the aid of the remixed versions of the single. It has also become a major hit in the United Kingdom, debuting and peaking at number 3 on the UK Singles Chart, as well as number 2 on the UK Upfront Club Chart. It has also peaked inside the Top 40 of countries such as Scotland, Ireland and the European Hot 100 Singles.

The single has also received good reviews from critics, with many commenting on Jordan's vocal abilities and the uptempo beat of the song. Several websites have also praised the Jump Smokers' remix of the single, calling it the main reason the single topped the US dance charts. Some critics have even compared her to big name artist such as Rihanna and Beyoncé.

Music Video Info:

The official music video, released on May 19, 2010 was directed by Aggressive and has a futuristic theme to it. The video features Jordan sitting in the back of a car, while the man she loves is sitting on a bench right outside.[10] The two are breaking up and exchange last looks just as the wind picks up setting the city in motion. The road begins sliding and Alexis' car is carried away as she begins to sing the song.

The video is intercut with scenes of Jordan singing the song alone, as well as dancing with four other back-up dancers.[11] The video also shows scenes of an elderly holding a Dalmatian by its leash as the sidewalk moves and the dog must walk on it like a treadmill to stay in place. At the end of the video, Jordan stops the city, and reverses it's motion sending the car back to the man she loves.[11][12][13]

My Chemical Romance - Na Na Na

Song Info:

"Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na)" is a song by My Chemical Romance. It was released as the first single from their fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.

Music Video Info:

The music video premiered on MTV on October 14, 2010. The video was co-directed by Roboshobo and Gerard Way and features comic book author Grant Morrison.[8] The music video was first previewed in the short trailer titled "Art is the Weapon" which was released on September 17, 2010.[9] Album opener "Look Alive, Sunshine" was included in the music video.[10] MTV posted photo previews on October 8, and a 30 second preview video on October 11.[11]

The video features a strangely garbed outlaw gang called the Killjoys (Gerard Way as Party Poison, Mikey Way as Kobra Kid, Ray Toro as Jet Star and Frank Iero as Fun Ghoul), who are being pursued in the badlands around Battery City by the sinister executive Korse (Morrison) of Better Living Industries (BL/ind) and his vampire-masked henchmen (the Draculoids); in between battles with Better Living, the gang are indulging in pornographic magazines, fast driving, and hacking vending machines. The Killjoys have a young girl as one of their members (portrayed by Grace Jeanette), who BL/ind is out to capture. At the end of the video, after a Mexican standoff, the Killjoys lie defeated on the ground, and the girl has been captured by Korse and the Draculoids. Korse tells the Killjoys to "keep running." The music video for later single "SING" is a companion piece and continues the story of the Killjoys and BL/ind.

In an interview with the band for KROQ, Gerard Way revealed that members of the band Mindless Self Indulgence appear in the video, with guitarist Steve, Righ? as the DJ, "Dr. Death Defying", and vocalist Jimmy Urine as the "main, tall Draculoid (a masked character in a white suit)".[12] Urine was originally intended to play the roller skater "Show Pony", but was changed to a Draculoid as he cannot skate.[2] After the video's premiere, MTV released a "Pop-Culture Cheat Sheet" listing many of the movie and TV references in the video, including films such as Blade Runner, Easy Rider and Terminator 2: Judgement Day.[13] There is also a reference to their previous album 'The Black Parade' at the 1:28 marker in the video where a half buried skeleton wearing a black marching jacket at the bottom of the screen can be seen. Similarly, in one of the "Transmissions" by Dr. Death on the band's website features a Killjoy (presumably Party Poison) searching through an abandoned room, passing by Mikey Way's Black Parade uniform and picking up one of the skull-designed masks featured in Black Parade merchandise, before finding the Mouskat mask seen in the video for Na Na Na.
